Answers to my own questions Part 2

Blog 16/365 6. What does your pre-shot routine consist of? Mine starts as I approach the shot. I’m checking the wind direction from flags, tree tops or feel. I’m having a guess at the distance sand assessing downhill or uphill gradient. My bag goes behind and to the right of my ball. Laser target, and select club. With club in right hand, walk to ball, practice swing beside ball finishing with a look at the target. Club head down behind ball first, and build stance around it. One last look at target then it’s go time! 7. What are your rules for yourself on the golf course? 1 big rule is Go for it. Always have played a little safe, so it’s now try and get it close to Par 5s in 2, take on the flag within reason. If there’s trouble left, aim more right to avoid my hook! 8. Can you hit the 9 shot Matrix? Low fade, medium fade, high fade, low straight, medium straight, high straight, low draw, medium draw, high draw. Always something I practice. Low straight and low fade are my two most difficult. 9. Do you practice under pressure? Always practice between targets, and hit a specific amount of pitches or putts, so yes, something I always adhere to. 10. Do you review your rounds? Yes, sometimes on an app, sometimes running through them on the way home from the course in the car. Always try and learn something, and if something felt good or worked well it gets added to a note on my phone which I will look at for inspiration!
