Top TGI PING Custom Fitter Award 2017 for Roe Park PGA Professional Michael McCrudden

Top PING Fitters Off To Phoenix

Following months of deliberations, we are down to the final three in the Top TGI PING Custom Fitter Award 2017, with the trio heading to Phoenix in early 2018 for the crowning of the overall winner.

Alistair Welsher, from Tiverton Golf Club, has been named as the number one in England & Wales, with Michael McCrudden, of Roe Park Golf Club, coming out on top in Ireland and Richard Gordon, from Bellisle Golf Club, taking the honours in Scotland.

The threesome will now head to Phoenix where they will enjoy a minimum of two rounds of golf and a visit to the PING factory. Also on their itinerary is a VIP custom fitting on the same driving range PING conduct their research and development and where PING Tour Players, such as Bubba Watson and Lee Westwood, come to fine tune their equipment. There will also be the opportunity to go inside PING’s famous Gold Putter Vault.

A panel of experts from TGI Golf and PING selected the final three as those Partners who best represent the PING brand across all product categories, including the areas of in-store merchandising, fitting facilities and their overall commitment to delivering high quality custom fittings.

Steve Carter, European Sales Director for Ping Europe, said: “After an extensive review of the whole TGI Golf Partnership, including feedback received from a wide number of sources, we are extremely pleased to have awarded Alistair, Richard and Michael win their respective regional awards for the TGI PING Custom Fitter of the year. All three epitomise what makes a great PING customer and PING custom fitter and are very deserved winners of their accolades and trip to Phoenix next year.”

Michael McCrudden, Roe Park Resort

“I was overwhelmed to be told I’d be going to Phoenix. It is the culmination of a lot of hard work from my team and I.

"When the new range came out this year we put together a great order system and everything’s been going smoothly, getting the product into peoples’ hands. We’re lucky there’s a lot of footfall and we can get people on their way to range, giving them clubs and getting them to try it out and showing them the difference.

“I’m looking forward to a bit of sunshine in Phoenix! Was lucky to go over to Gainsborough seven years ago, so to go to the world HQ and see PING Man in action will be amazing.”
